Golden Delicious Apples

'Golds,' as we affectionately call them, are the great all-purpose apple: especially wonderful in pies, cider and applesauce, as well as for drying, baking whole, eating fresh, and pretty much anything else you can think of! These are not the yellow mushy apples you get in the store! We pick them while they're perfect: still light green in color with a light crisp crunch and sweet, traditional flavor. Be sure to keep them refrigerated. For the perfect applesauce or cider, start with Golden Delicious and add a tart variety (think Jonagold, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Pink Lady!), then mix in any other variety you like for an incredibly delicious, well-rounded flavor!
